Judson’s Legacy

Judson’s Legacy is a pending 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in honor of our beloved son, Judson Drake Levasheff.

Jud was a bright, healthy, and articulate 2-year-old boy whose body began to unexpectedly and rapidly deteriorate starting in June 2007. It was discovered that Jud suffered from Krabbe disease—a rare, genetic, incurable leukodystrophy.  Though his mind and smile remained intact, within five months Judson became fully paralyzed, blind, and mute.  On November 7, 2007, Drake and I held our almost 3-year-old son as he breathed his last breaths.

Christmas Eve 2004 - November 7, 2007

Although Judson was a typical little boy before the onset of Krabbe disease, he also seemed to have uncommon spiritual understanding for a child his age, displaying a notable sensitivity to God and an interest in spiritual things. During Jud’s suffering the Lord beautifully used him to communicate grace and truth to us and others.

And since his death, Judson’s life continues to affect many.  Learn more at Judson’s Legacy.com and consider helping support the cause.
